InvivoGen R848, also known as Resiquimod, is a synthetic imidazoquinoline compound that activates human Toll-like receptors 7 and 8. In mouse systems, its activity is mainly associated with TLR7.
R848 is widely used to stimulate innate immune cells and investigate NF-κB activation, interferon responses and inflammatory cytokine production. It is suitable for dendritic-cell, monocyte, macrophage and TLR-reporter assays.
