A red-fluorescent EdU assay kit for sensitive detection of DNA synthesis and proliferating cells.
The Epizyme EdU-647 Cell Proliferation Assay Kit measures DNA synthesis through incorporation of the thymidine analogue EdU into newly synthesized DNA. A click-chemistry reaction subsequently labels the incorporated EdU with a far-red fluorescent dye.
The assay does not require harsh DNA-denaturation procedures and is suitable for cultured cells, tissue samples and tissue sections. Results can be analyzed using fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, fluorescence microplate readers or high-content imaging systems.
