InvivoGen Blasticidin is a sterile selection antibiotic supplied as a ready-to-use 10 mg/mL solution. It inhibits protein synthesis in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and can be used to select cells expressing compatible blasticidin-resistance genes.
The solution is cell-culture tested, functionally validated and endotoxin controlled. Mammalian-cell selection is generally performed at substantially lower concentrations than bacterial selection.
