The Elabscience Enhanced Cell Counting Kit 8 is a WST-8-based colorimetric assay for evaluating viable cell numbers. Cellular dehydrogenases convert WST-8 into a water-soluble colored formazan product, allowing cell viability to be estimated using a microplate reader.
The ready-to-use format supports cell-proliferation, viability and drug-cytotoxicity experiments without requiring dissolution of insoluble formazan crystals.
