A quantitative kinetic turbidimetric LAL assay for bacterial endotoxin testing.
The Lonza PYROGENT®-5000 Assay is a kinetic turbidimetric Limulus Amebocyte Lysate test for the quantitative detection of Gram-negative bacterial endotoxin.
During the reaction, endotoxin activates the LAL enzyme cascade and produces increasing turbidity. A compatible microplate reader and endotoxin-analysis software are used to monitor reaction development and calculate sample endotoxin concentrations.
