A colorimetric BCA assay kit for rapid and sensitive measurement of total protein concentration.
The Epizyme BCA Protein Assay Kit provides colorimetric quantification of total protein concentration. Under alkaline conditions, proteins reduce copper ions, which subsequently form a colored complex with bicinchoninic acid.
Absorbance is measured at 562 nm using a microplate reader or spectrophotometer. A 5 mg/mL BSA standard is included for preparing the calibration curve.
