Biotium Live-or-Dye™ 488/515 Fixable Viability Staining Kit uses a cell-impermeant, amine-reactive dye to distinguish dead cells from viable cells. The dye enters cells with damaged membranes and covalently labels intracellular proteins, allowing the staining signal to remain stable after fixation and permeabilization.
